Obama to “Newcomers” of Classical Music: Michelle Tells Him When to Applaud
“It’s been a busy day for classical music here at the White House,” President Obama said this evening.
He is right: tonight’s concert in the East Room follows a long day of classical musical seminars, awards programs and an afternoon concert which culminated in this evenings ensemble of some of the nation’s best classical musicians.

The Biden Gambit
Instead of campaigning in a low-key way, emphasizing local issues and Owens’ strengths, Biden picked up the gauntlet thrown down by national Republican figures such as Sarah Palin and Gov. Tim Pawlenty, and conservative pundits such as Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, and agreed that the special House race was of national relevance.

Mrs. Obama Goes Classical
Calling classical music a “timeless” art form, First Lady Michelle Obama kicked off the fourth part of the White House music series.
The White House invited 120 middle and high school musicians from across the country for a day of classical music workshops at the White House – which Mrs. Obama referred to as the “classical music superstars of tomorrow.”

POTUS tells Wisconsin: "It’s Time to Make Education America’s National Mission”
